Long Lost Letter...

I have been searching for this letter for over 10 years. It's a letter written to me from a USMC Major right after the start of Operation Iraqi Freedom. We sent coffee to these guys in F Company and I followed them and prayed for them throughout the war. Wherever you are Major Kelly, I hope you and your family are doing well, and thank you F Company for doing work. I would say Semper Fidelis but I haven't earned that right. What I will say is thank you to all of you that put that uniform on in the past, present, and future…

You can find the complete letter on our Facebook page...

A day on the Peninsula...

Spent the day out in Sequim visiting with the best coffee shop on the peninsula. If you’re ever in the area please give Adagio Bean and Leaf a try. They run a great operation and you will not be disappointed. Thanks for treating me so good while I was out here. It’s a privilege to be your coffee roaster.

I love My Baristas...Past and Current...

I haven’t seen this girl in over ten years. She worked for me when she was 16 and now she’s close to 30, she’s home visiting from out of state...it’s crazy how time flies by, yet I still love this crazy coffee game. Has it been easy? Nope. Worth it? Absolutely.

Thinking about those that serve us...

A lot of you know that we have been sending coffee to the troops since 2003. I have received emails asking if there was any way for customers to send coffee to a soldier. These emails are broken down into two different groups, those that know the soldier, and those that are asking to send coffee to a soldier who might not have family support at home. Today, I added a button to the shopping cart that will allow you to ship a 2.5-pound bag of coffee to a soldier for $20. This is below our cost, but I'm more than willing to cover the extra cost of roasting, bagging, and shipping the coffee. With Christmas coming, it would be nice to put a smile on the faces of those who protect us.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Good morning and happy Thanksgiving! We are here until three today...we're roasting coffee for one of our wholesale accounts (you know who you are) and serving a whole lot of cuppa joe...

And, of course, our main espresso grinder decided to fail this morning. Those of you who have worked with a La Marzocco swift grinder know that they are amazing but break down quite often.
