Feel Good Friday

For those of you that need a feel-good story to end this week, here you go…
A gentleman came in this morning to get a cold brew, and as he was waiting for Hannah to get his drink ready, he inquired about sending coffee to the troops. Hannah told him that we send a 2.5-pound bag of coffee to soldiers for $20, shipping included. He grabbed his coffee and left. He comes back a few hours later and gives us $20.00 to purchase a bag of coffee for a soldier. When we ask the name and address of the soldier, he told us that he doesn’t know of one, he just wanted to help out. This type of selflessness happens every day in this country and we don’t hear about it. They say that bad news sells newspapers but, to me, good people like the gentleman this morning give us hope and reminds us that maybe we aren’t as divided as the media would like us to believe. I’ll take optimism and compassion over hate and despair every single time. I hope that you’re all having an amazing Friday…
